Celebrating Your Favorite Holiday Scholarship

$500 scholarship opportunity for international students!

No matter where we are in the world, it doesn’t change how we feel about our favorite holidays. We may celebrate them a little differently, but the reason we celebrate never changes. 

We’re asking international students to submit a photo or video (it’s up to you!) that showcases their favorite holiday. 

The photo or video could be moments of love, family, hope, places, or a simple selfie. It could also be a photo or video that helps explain your favorite holiday tradition, activity, type of food, etc. 

BE CREATIVE and showcase your favorite holiday in a single photo or video! 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOLARSHIP PHOTO CONTEST

  1. Follow @internationalstudentvoice on Instagram
  2. After you selected your photo or video, make sure to write a caption describing your entry and the name of the U.S. university or college you attend.
  3. Post the photo or video on Instagram and tag @internationalstudentvoice (click here how to tag on Instagram)
  4. Double check your privacy settings, check to make sure your photo shows in the @internationalstudentvoice tagged photos on Instagram

How the scholarship winner is selected

We will select 10-15 finalists based on the number of “hearts” an entry receives. So the more “hearts” your entry has, the more likely you will qualify to be a finalist! 

From the top 10-15 finalists, we will then select one scholarship winner. 

Eligibility

This contest is open to the following international students: 

International students enrolled at a university or college in the United States (ESL, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctoral degree) during spring 2021 or summer 2021.

Contest Timeline 

Contest begins: November 23, 2020

Deadline: December 18, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT) 

Finalists announced via Instagram: December 21, 2020 

Winner announced via Instagram: December 25, 2020 

How the winner receives the scholarship

Once the winner is selected and their enrollment at a U.S. university or college is confirmed, we will send a $500 scholarship check to the winner’s university or college. The money is applied to the student’s account and the student will then be able to use the money to pay tuition, books, or other academic-related expenses.
